Piñitas Logo Development

While working at Kobo Design we were approached with refining the logo design for a new brand of tequila. The client previously had a designer have a go at the design but sought a more refined output. I worked on finalizing concepts the other designer had started with and created several additional logo options for the client. In addition to logo designs the client sought to have illustration styles developed for further design elements for his branding on the bottles to be sold. I created the mood boards for him to consider the direction he wants to go. I did not get to see this project finish, so I chose to show the logo designs that I have done and I favored amongst them all.

Concept

When we were introduced to this upcoming import business I thought they were looking for high quality, luxury, similar to Spanish ibérico pork. But it turns out the client wanted something that shouted USA more than the luxury aspect of the brand. 

Strategy

I tried to keep the design clean and simple as we were focusing on the up and coming young middle class consumer of mainland China. 

Results

The logos that I've come up with, one being very young and modern and the alternative looks iconically American.

While working at the Slattery Media Group in Melbourne it was pitched to create a series of small pocket books of sports legends. I am unaware if this project is still underway but a colleague of mine and I worked on a few concepts, below you will see the logos I have designed as well as laid out on potential covers.
